Riddles of Gold - Request for Advice + Character Reveal

Hey everyone! DragonSkies here. I have a bit of an unorthodox post for you guys today.

First things first, I wanted to take a moment to pause and ask for some advice as a developer. As a developer I have an extremely limited perspective, and I wanted to hear a little from you guys.

What do you guys enjoy seeing in devlogs? Visuals? Stories? Gameplay? Your answers will help me get to know the itch.io community better, and hopefully enjoy the journey more as I continue to develop.

Secondly (and on a less serious note), it's time to reveal who the next enemy is in Riddles of Gold. We've already seen a stereotypical knight and an inexperienced dragoness take center stage in the first update.

But now, it's time for something totally unexpected...

...A desperate businessman?

Okay, let me get one thing straight, this guy isn't from around here. He's oblivious to the danger of dragons and also the difficulties of lair-to-lair marketing.

The first and obvious question is "what kind of an enemy is THIS guy?" But as shown in my last devlog, his bullet patterns will be... well... a little less than dodgable. After all, now that Talos's signature is legally binding, there might be some trouble navigating who gets the hoard in the aftermath. Just answer his question, and whatever you do, don't sign under the dotted line.

That's all for this update. If you haven't already, take a moment to play through Riddles of Gold's current early access release. Also, if you're interested in Riddles of Gold, please consider joining its discord. Come and participate in polls, discuss new additions, and stay informed about new updates with other indie game enthusiasts and creators. All my supporters will recieve a mention in the final game's credits, and besides that help in ways this indie developer can't even begin to express.

Thanks for reading thus far! God bless!
